We are the Hampstead and District Group of the Ramblers' Association. We are one of nine groups within the Inner London Area and, as our name suggests, most of our members live in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington, although some come from other parts of London and surrounding counties. We are a friendly group of people who come from all walks of life and who share a love of walking.
Walks
We have a comprehensive programme of walks which cover most of Southeast England and all of which are accessible by public transport. They range in length from less than 5 to over 20 miles and in pace from slow or easy to positively fast. We aim to have a walk on most Sundays, some Saturdays and a few on weekdays, mainly Wednesdays.

Please note that a number of our Group's walks are not on the Walks Finder or in the printable programme. Details of these walks are only in the Group's programme which is sent out to members and associate members.
Holidays
We also organise weekends away and longer holidays and in June last year we had a five night holiday in Keswick on Derwent Water in the Lake District, a New Year break in York from the 28th December to the 1st January 2013 and a long weekend at the new HF Holidays house in Dovedale from the 15th to 18th March.
Forthcoming holidays are five nights in Nerja on the Andalucian coast of Spain from the 11th to 16th May and a five night holiday in the Lake District from the 27th June to the 2nd July, this time based in Windermere village.
