If your question is not answered below, please email our Walks Organiser at enquiries@hampsteadramblers.org.uk who will be happy to help.
How can I join the Ramblers?
Anyone can apply to join the Ramblers' Association. To find out how to become a
new member visit
www.ramblers.co.uk or click on this
link to access the new membership area of the Ramblers' Association website.
Alternatively, please contact our Walks Organiser at
enquiries@hampsteadramblers.org.uk.
Are dogs allowed on the
walks?
Yes, dogs are permitted but must be kept under control, especially where farm
animals are around. If in doubt, please contact the walk leader for the walk you
wish to join.
What clothing would you recommend?
Walking boots and rainwear are strongly advised. Please also remember:
If your boots become muddy, you will be
expected to take them off or put plastic bags over them when visiting tea shops
or pubs or any places of interest along the way.
Are lunch stops included on your walks?
Hampstead Ramblers usually include a pub for a drink but generally take
a picnic lunch because even when the pub serves food there is rarely
time to wait it to be served and eat it. Please do not eat your own
food on the pub premises and when you go in for a drink please take off
muddy boots or cover them with plastic bags.
How do we travel to the venue?
We aim to use public transport as much
as possible. However, we specify the starting time and location for each walk in
our calendar so that anyone can make their own travel arrangements. Sometimes,
train times do vary from the advertised ones, so a day or so before the event,
members are advised to double check with the train or bus companies.
